Yandex Go lets you enter a destination and see a taxi fare before requesting a car in Uzbekistan. Set up the app before travelling, keep cash available, and agree on a precise pickup point at airports and stations.
Set up before departure
- Install Yandex Go for iPhone or Android, then complete phone verification while you can receive messages on that number.
- Open the payment options. If you want to use a card, try linking it before your first ride; do not assume every foreign-issued card will work. Cash is an option for Uzbekistan rides.
- Save your hotel name, address and map location. If you cannot find it by name, ask the accommodation for the entrance you should use.
You will need a working connection to arrange the ride. The SIM guide covers data options; keep your accommodation’s contact details offline in case sign-in or mobile data fails on arrival.
Request a city ride
Enter the pickup point and destination, then compare the offered classes, fare and arrival estimate. Check the payment method before requesting the car. A pin placed on the wrong side of a main road can leave you and the driver looking for each other.
Once a car is assigned, match its number plate and vehicle details with the booking before getting in. Use the agreed destination in the app rather than starting an unrelated cash journey with someone who approaches you.
For a trip to a station, use the station name on your ticket. For a hotel, choose the entrance where a car can actually stop, not just the middle of the building on the map.
Airport and station pickup
Collect your bags and work out where you can meet the car before requesting it. Follow any pickup instructions shown for your booking; do not assume the nearest terminal door is the meeting point.
If you and the driver are in different places, send a clear landmark or entrance description and agree where to meet. Avoid moving the pin repeatedly while the driver is already trying to reach you. For a late landing when you do not want to arrange this yourself, book a hotel transfer with a named meeting point and an agreed total price.

The minimum-fare and distance/time figures below are published upper limits before applicable demand coefficients and extras. The exception is Khiva’s stated boarding charge, which is not marked as an upper limit. These figures do not cap the total journey price. The live quote depends on your route and class, with possible pickup, waiting and other charges. Compare the amount shown for your actual journey before requesting the car.

Khiva uses a boarding charge rather than the minimum-fare wording of the other city cards. Do not add every column to the minimum as if it were a universal fare calculator: included distance/time and extras depend on the tariff.

Compare the quoted fare and available cars in the app. If you need room for large bags or a child seat, agree on those needs before the ride; a more expensive class does not guarantee them.

If booking or payment does not work

Intercity rides and delivery
For a road trip, look for an intercity option for the exact endpoints in the app. If offered, compare the total price, whole-car or shared-seat arrangement, luggage space and pickup point with the train or a prebooked driver. Availability on one route does not establish availability for another, or a return car later that day.
For small items, Yandex Delivery in Uzbekistan takes sender and recipient details through Yandex Go or its website. Agree who will hand over and receive the item; use the quoted delivery price rather than the passenger-taxi table. Food delivery is a separate choice: use it only when restaurant delivery appears for the accommodation’s address.

Do the tariff cards give the final price?
No. They describe published component limits and, in Khiva, stated boarding charges before applicable coefficients and extras. Use the quote for your pickup, destination and class, and read any extra-charge or cancellation notice that applies to the booking.
Can I use the same taxi for a return journey from outside the city?
Arrange it explicitly with the service or book a return transfer. A car taking you out does not establish that a separate app pickup will be available there later.
Does every city have the Tashkent classes?
No. Open the app for your pickup and destination to see the classes currently offered in that city.
