Khiva Events: Dates and Travel Planning

For a visit to Khiva now, plan time in Ichan-Kala and its workshops. The announced October 17–18, 2026 dates for Shining Carpets have passed; no later Khiva festival dates are confirmed in this selection.

Before booking for a festival

Check the dates of the edition that overlaps your trip, its daily programme, admission and exact entrance. Lazgi performances and food festivals can be reasons to extend a stay, but last year’s dates do not establish the next edition’s schedule.

Keep transport and accommodation flexible until the programme is available. A visit to Ichan-Kala or a nearby fortress trip can fill a day outside the event dates.

Concerts and races elsewhere

The Uzbekistan events calendar has the current Tashkent concerts and Samarkand race weekend. Allow for the intercity journey before combining one of those dates with Khiva.
